NGO "Stella" is looking for a long-term volunteer to do his EVS in Czech Republic. Very interesting and extremely useful project!

Project description:
Our project aims at the development of EVS participants via non-formal education, through various tasks they would be participating in at our organisation. The tasks would be in the field of working with socially disadvataged children and youth and with the wide public, organising events, workshops, etc. The project seeks to allow volunteers gain experience, knowledge and self-confidence, develop professionally and personally under our guidance. Further, the project aims at contributing to their linguistic development, empowering them via different tasks they would be carrying, training they would participate in, all with the aim of their better future participation in the labour market thanks to the developed skills, gained knowledge and experience. Volunteers development would be maximized via individual approach to their learning proccess and wide range of activities with different target group.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements:
Accomodation provided in two flats shared by 3 EVS participants, each having own room. Flats fully equipped.
Cathering up to the EVs participants - 3900 CZK per months (approx. 140 EUR).
Pocket money 2300 CZK per months (90 EUR).
Travel up to the EU calculator.
Training during the opportunity:
2 hrs English class per week.
2 hrs Czech class per week.
1 hr EU related issues seminar per week.
3 hrs Task Related training per week.
Regular evaluations every 6 weeks.
Group meeting with the Coordinator 1 hr per week.
Individual meeting with the Coordinator 1 hr per week.
Supervisions with the psychologist 1 hr every 6-8 weeks.
Task 10 hrs per week.
Preparation for tasks 10 hrs per week.
Volunteer profile:
Volunteers should be willing to manage activities with children and Youth from the socially disadvataged area. Further, volunteers should be able to speak some English as some activities will focus on development of language skills of those disadvataged children. Also, volunteers should be creative and like new ideas. Also, they should have positive attitude towards sport and outdoor activities. Volunteers should also like being engaged in activities with the wide public, organising events, workshops, writing blog, etc.

Hosting organisation:
The organisation is well establisehed, has been providing services for over 15 years now. We can offer an excellent opportunity to young volunteers to develop as we have deep experience not only in the field of social work but also in the field of guiding Youth. Our organisation is located in the beautiful hilly area of Norther Bohemia with kind people and many young people interested in meeting with foreign volunteers. Further, tha staff of organisation is kind and open towards anyone coming.
